Traditional Kuku Yalanji smoking ceremony; you’ll be cleansed of bad spirits and have traditional rainforest body paint applied. Exploring the Daintree National Park at an easy pace, this interpretive 1.5hr walk, will leave you with a deeper understanding of this breath-taking rainforest

River Drift Snorkelling
If you love nature and the water, then this is the perfect tour for you! Within an ancient rainforest, step into the cool, crystal clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the water’s surface. Watch fish dart in and around the river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional turtle. This family friendly tour is a perfect way to stay cool in the hot tropics and is a great introduction to snorkelling before heading out to the reefs. Small children can journey down the river on large river sleds.

We did the River Drift Snorkelling tour. It was amazing! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys are 5 and 7 and I felt our family were totally safe in their hands. Great scenery and fun for us parents, and the boys thought it was super awesome, and were totally pleased with themselves for going down the “rapids” alone (of course under careful supervision by the whole group)! A great way to spend some time and experience Mossman River. Absolutely recommend to anyone!

Such a fab way to start a relaxation holiday. Floating down a river with as much or little effort as you want. Richie and Elliot were great guides. Would totally recommend for a half day adventure.

We enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of river adventure with our guide, Artemis. We were so lucky to enjoy Artemis' company - she looked after us so well and had us in constant laughter. For someone who has come here from California, Artemis really gels with the environment and is incredibly knowledgeable - we were fascinated by everything she shared with us. River drifting is such a chill thing to do and snorkelling and seeing fish in their natural habitat is such a buzz. We were also very appreciative of Back Water Bliss proceeding with our tour being that there was only my partner and myself. My brother and his son did the same tour some months ago so I was thrilled we got to enjoy this adventure experience as well.

3 perfect hours with Renee and Arti - best hosts/guides ever! Could not have had a better time on this adventure. Water crystal clear, fun rapids and excellent snorkelling. Scenery absolutely spectacular and the perfect way to embrace the best of nature. This company ticks all the boxes for professionalism and excellent service. Zero negatives, an all-round excellent experience.

A super fun day out! We started with a snorkel through the gorge and relaxing on rafts. We even got to go down some rapids which was fun. Then lunch at a local cafe and onto a hike through the Mossman gorge park where we also got to go for a dip in some hidden gems. The guide was very knowledgeable and fun.

Thank you to the traditional owners of this area for allowing us to experience nature at its finest. Can't recommend this tour enough. I hate to use the word "tour" because it just felt like spending the day with a close friend who happens to have an abundance of knowledge about the area. This is truly one of the most beautiful places we have seen around the world and to be floating peacefully down the pristine river taking in the scenery was such a blessing. The walk through Mossman Gorge was like stepping back in time and a definite highlight of the day was a refreshing swim in the crystal clear water of the gorge, surrounded by timeless granite boulders. Thank you so much Artemis for sharing your knowledge and for gently guiding us through this wonderland 🙏

Most amazing tour we have done in QLD by far! Will and Richie made our day so enjoyable! So knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, we learnt so much. We were in awe of the hidden beauty we wouldn’t of had the opportunity to see if we didn’t do this adventure. Received amazing photos from will. Best part was the milo and cookies at the end to defrost! Will have to be back during the wet season! Thanks so much guys!

This was such a fantastic activity to do. It was fun and completely different from anything we had done before. We loved the snorkelling and exploring, the drifting on river sleds, the rapids and all that this tour offered. The staff are professional, kind and thoughtful. We’d highly recommend this activity.
