  My husband & I had our wedding reception at The Observatory Lounge in Hobart, TAS in late June this year. Although some friends were skeptical about the location, we proved them all wrong. It was perfect! The lounge was cozy & comfy with perfect ambiance provided by the soft yet sufficient lighting, sound system that allowed our own music to be played, & the relaxed & elegant atmosphere. The servers were skilled, kind, efficient, & attentive. They even helped our grandparents out the back VIP exit to avoid the crowd that was gathered at the front before the lounge was opened to the public at 11pm. We worked closely with Thom Gunter, and he was simply wonderful to work with - kind, helpful, and flexible. It was a lovely venue, & we were completely satisfied with it. Highly recommended.
