The National Motor Museum at Birdwood houses Australia's most important collection of vintage, veteran and classic motorcars and motor cycles - more than 300 in fact. It's set in a beautiful complex by the River Torrens in Adelaide's picturesque hills, 50 kilometres from Adelaide. The museum hosts special events each year including the Bay to Birdwood Run, The Bay to Birdwood Classic and the Rock 'n Roll Rendezvous. The National Motor Museum is much more than a collection of vehicles - it is a social history of the way we were, the way we are now and the way of the future. Programs are provided for more than 8,000 students who visit each year. Guided tours can be organised by prior arrangement.
